PRINCIPAL

The founder of Modernous, Sally is a refugee from high-tech public relations who found a calling in residential design. She specializes in the remodel and design of mid-century and other modern homes. Her restoration of a Hugh Kaptur home in Palm Springs made it into a Class 1 Historic Site. Her work has been published in Dwell Magazine, Atomic Ranch, Modernism, Seattle Magazine, 425 Magazine, Curbed and more. Her client-service and project-management chops combine with a refined aesthetic to create livable, sophisticated designs, always with a splash of color and whimsy.

LEAD DESIGNER | GENERAL MANAGER

Halie is the heart of Modernous. She keeps everyone and everything moving in a forward direction. She draws inspiration from client's personalities and strives for beautiful spaces balanced by function. She is experienced in space planning, finish selection and sourcing and furniture procurement. She comes to Modernous from a commercial design firm, where she worked on range of projects for large Pacific Northwest companies, doing conceptual design, schematic design and design development. She started off with Modernous while in college, working on both design and Seattle staging projects in the Pacific Northwest and California. Halie has her Bachelor's of Applied Arts in Interior Design from Bellevue College and is an NCIDQ certified Interior Designer.

STAGING DESIGNER & COORDINATOR

Beth is Modernous’s Resident Artist, having received her BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. With a passion for interior design, an artistic eye and a refined yet playful sense of color, Beth is a talented home staging designer. Her perfectionism ensures that every home feels cohesive down to the smallest detail. Before Modernous, Beth worked as a studio artist for an art production house in Seattle, creating large-scale original works for hotels, commercial businesses, and high-volume print lines.
